Idiot Russian Falls On His Head

''If you drink, Don't Drive'' seems like a motto on many people's mind nowadays, as the number of drink-driving accidents have increased drastically over the past year. But even so, there seems to be a new motto surfacing amongst the locals in Bangkok Thailand - ''If you drink, don't even think about moving''.

Diners at the hawker stalls below a flyover along the crossroad of Ratchaprarop and Sri Ayutthaya were shocked when they heard a loud prod further up the area, nearer to the pedastrian crossing. Apparently, Mr. Russian had a drop too much and decided that the sober taxi driver shouldn't drive. So he decided to walk home, accompanied by his son who speaks no English.

Shuffling your feet isn't a good idea along the streets on Thailand, especially when you're drunk. Mr. Russian tripped and took a nosedive onto the concrete tiles flooring the dining area. He suffered a blow to the head and was bleeding profusely. Head injury seems serious as Mr. Russian was also vomitting all over the place.

When passers-by tried to ask the boy what happened, they were only greeted by silence as no one there understands a word of Russian that's coming out of his mouth. All they could do was to pass serviettes to Mr. Russian for him to wipe the mixture of blood and vomit off.

Nearly half an hour after the incident, paramedics arrived at the scene to treat the Russian. Although in a weakened state, Mr. Russian insisted on not going to the hospital, but the decision was not his to call. Strangely enough, Mr. Russian did not head off in the ambulance, but on the back of a pickup truck that seems to be a bumpier ride than the ambulance. One could only wonder if he'll be better after the pickup ride.

Soon enough, everyone else had resumed their daily lives and the hawkers did not seem affected by the bloody mess in sight.
